Comfort Fit’s masterpiece long player “Polyshufflez” goes into the second round with fourteen impressive and unique re-interpretations by Laurent Garnier, Domu, Opolopo, Atjazz, Boom Clap Bachelors, Robot Koch, Jay Scarlett and more brilliant artists.

Techno superstar Laurent Garnier and UK house don Atjazz (Innervisions/Sonar Kollektiv) remixed Comfort Fit’s “Ask the Devil” featuring the bestselling book author Howard Marks, philosophizing about God, the Devil and the smoke inbetween.

Further dancefloor crashing remixes come from Comfort Fit himself, Sweden’s finest funkateer Opolopo (Especial/Tokyo Dawn Records), Germany’s house newcomer Jacob Korn (Running Back/Permanent Vacation), global bass buccaneer Tim Turbo from Berlin and finally a very special remix from UK breakbeat guru Domu (Treble O/Tru Thoughts). He recently announced his retirement from the music business to the shock of the worldwide music scene, but we hope this won’t be his last output.

More headnodders are contributed by Jay Scarlett, best known for his work with Spacek and the Beat Dimensions compilations, Death Star Lazer Trooper Robot Koch (Robots Don’t Sleep), brilliant beat-maker Swede:art (new album on Tokyo Dawn 2010!) Singing Statues (aka Jack High, Ghostly International) and Germany’s up and coming Hip-Hop producer fLako (Kwatro). Denmark’s finest Boom Clap Bachelors and last but not least Portformat, who has just released his well received debut album ‘The Repeat Factor’ featuring Dudley Perkins, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Gajah, Blaktroniks and more on Tokyo Dawn Records (TDR09-002).

NASA-compatible Hip Hop Funkadelica is what to expect on Portformat’s debut album released into orbit, musically combining space themes of the 70s with the golden moments of 90s R’n'B.

R’n'B shooting stars such as Georgia Anne Muldrow, Shuanise and Suzi Analogue shine on Portformat’s beats from his Repeat Factory. Rappers such as Madlib-vocalist Dudley Perkins, Blaktroniks, Obey The Altar Native, Bless1, Gajah and Thesaurus Rex also join the ride. The album was even mixed by Comfort Fit for an extra galactic boom!

Wisely using music codes of genres such as hiphop, dubstep and techno as a mere comic template, Comfort Fit inspires music enthusiasts around the world with his unique and heavy beat techniques. Critical thoughts on capitalism, conversations with the devil, famous chess games and dozens of other unusual ideas set to high fidelity let this album leave all comparisons behind.

Artists like Howard Marks (best known for his worldwide bestseller book ‘Mr Nice’), Blaktroniks, Wallis Bird, Gajah, Anita Tijoux, Naboobia and Caitlin Meissner collaborated with Comfort Fit to create this opus magnum of modern mind music.

“It’s been a long time since i’ve heard a hip hop/pop/nu soul/dope beats/electronic album with such a quality level. This is absolutely stunning. Really fresh, really futuristic, raw, funky, organic. This is a pure moment of music.”
Laurent Garnier

“Love it love it love it!! The entire album is superb!”

“Mad album. Really quirky.”
Ben Westbeech

“Comfort Fit are more then stage leaders in this beat game. To me they are one of the many influences like Cezzane to Picasso why i exist in this particular scene, thier movement from solid textures to song play make it a great album to portray what’s going on in the void of beat music today.”
Jay Scarlett

Composed with the help of unique sound plugins which were especially programmed to measure Comfort Fit’s needs and wishes, we think the chances aren’t bad that you’ll fall in love with the unique sound signature, bounce and elegance of this tight Hip Hop production.

Like the best mixtapes this thing plays strongly as a whole – no matter if it’s about classic Jazz impressions (‘Miles of Smiles’), Theo Parrish references (‘Take a Look’), Hip Hop bouncers (‘True Form’, ‘Hairy Crushed Nuts’, ‘The Hunt’), scarily deep intergalactic grooves (‘Planetary Picknick’) or love themes (‘She Knows Me Now’), all the album tracks are locked together closely and must be seen as a whole.

“Really love this music.”
Ltj bukem / Good looking Rec., UK

“Wow! Superbes album, SA-RA in Germany?”
Tom Wieland / Les Gammas

“Hatte die CD sehr lange im Auto und sie gefällt mir immer besser.Schönes Album. Vor allem der Track „Take a look“ hat’s mir extrem angetan. Respekt!”
Rainer Trüby / Compost Rec.

“Super Album, sehr schöner, deeper vibe, sehr abwechslungsreich”
Yannick / Groove Mag, Needs Music

“Awesome job he’s done…overall production is dope”
Velanche / XLR8R, UK

“Brilliant!!! The beats and the basslines are baaaaaaaaad.Fantastic rhymes, quirky jazzy moments. You’re on a winner”
Paul Gamblin / Black’n'blue, Australia

“Woooooooooowwwww…WHAT THE FUCK. THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKIN ABOUT. My neck hurts from nodding my head to hard. It’s like someone read my mind. I love this sort of stuff a la prefuse 73, Dabya, etc….Comfort Fit is in a league of his own though. Very impressive, wish I knew about him sooner.”
Kwesi / BBE Music, UK

Skipping through this album is not allowed. ‘Forget and Remember’ is more than just beat fodder for your next mixtape, “it’s a very personal diary of mine. I feel music is my natural form of expression, not words”, as Comfort Fit says. “It is very important for me to escape from the noise pollution of the cities and from the media hypes going on. I’d rather create my own”.
